The key to accessing global talent and scalable solutions
From our blog / Article
At Sevendos, we go beyond traditional nearshoring – not just moving operations to nearby countries where the costs are lower. Our focus is on quality and talent, thus in our lingo, nearshoring translates to talent-shoring.

What is talent shoring?
Sevendos operates a Talent Hub in Málaga that isn’t just a cost-effective nearshore location, it’s a strategic center where we match our clients’ specific needs with the best, specialized talent available. With talent-shoring, our main goal is to build and scale high-quality software development teams for our clients, that deliver top-tier results, regardless of location. Yet, in Málaga, we are only a few hours away from our customers.
Our recruitment criteria in Málaga are as demanding as in all our locations: We don’t compromise on quality. This approach allows us to offer our clients the dual advantage of exceptional service and cost efficiency, making talent shoring a smart option for companies looking to lead the field in digital products and services.

Key benefits of talent-shoring
- Significantly lower cost with improved talent availability
- Top-tier quality & cultural fit in building modern digital solutions together
- Reduced political and regulatory risks within European Union
Málaga – a strategic choice for our talent hub
We explored various options in choosing the location for our Talent Hub. Still, in Europe, Málaga is the fastest-growing city in terms of the number of tech professionals and companies right now and is building a reputation as the Silicon Valley of Europe. The high-tech cluster employs over 60,000 people in the Málaga area, and the cost of infrastructure and the climate attract international talent to the city.
We also took into account the political and regulatory risks of the location: Málaga offers a stable environment within the EU, ensuring compliance with GDPR. All this affected our decision to set up excellent facilities in a central location of the city.

To maintain quality and agility, Sevendos combines on-site presence with remote work. Some employees stay close to the client, working directly on-site, while others contribute fully remotely. Our teams collaborate closely and seamlessly, no matter where they are located.
While in-person work with colleagues and clients is still valuable, new remote work practices have made our playing field truly global. Additionally, talent-shoring can be a tempting opportunity for employees, making it easier for companies to attract and retain top-tier professionals. The idea of working remotely from Málaga is also appealing to us Nordics living with long winters, and both our clients and employees enjoy working from Málaga occasionally.

Embracing Nordic working culture in Málaga
We strive to be the ideal partner for our clients, offering scalability for digital product development. This means leveraging global talent. In Málaga, we don’t just tap into local talent but also the city’s diverse global expert pool, ensuring we bring the best professionals on board.
Our Nordic work culture which emphasizes freedom, responsibility, and trust towards our employees, has also made us stand out positively in the local Spanish talent market. We’ve received positive feedback on our approach and it’s not something people in Spain are traditionally used to. We take good care of our talent, offering excellent benefits and development opportunities, which keeps the turnover low.
We’ve managed to make our Talent Hub a global operation, with 11 different nationalities currently working in Málaga. We aim to develop and expand our talent-shoring operations in close cooperation with our clients. When our clients grow, we grow together. It’s all about partnership: We want to develop services and the customer experience together.
