Business is becoming composable
From our blog / Article
This column explores the transformative shift towards composable business. We delve into the key drivers behind this change, the opportunities and challenges it presents, and how Fusion Ecosystem is uniquely positioned to help businesses harness the power of composability.
If I think about what’s the biggest change that has happened in 20 years in business, that is how rigid organizations have turned into composable ones.
It used to be that you had a fixed set of people, processes and technology and that’s what you had to sell and deliver your offering. All changes for the set took time and needed a lot of effort.
Now what we can see is that organizations are increasingly building up the most suitable composition of expertise, tools and partners dynamically and case by case. Changes happen almost instantaneously and even in a fully automated manner.
Digitalization has been a key enabler for all this: cloud, connectivity, sensors, blockchain, mobility, data analytics, artificial intelligence… to name a few, and organizations are all the time getting better in leveraging technology and exploring new business models and ways of working.
However it is not only about technology, it is also about people. People have been looking for more independence and control over their own career. And at same time organizations have been looking for ways to increase agility.
“High talent wants to feel ownership.”
Thus less people work in traditional 9-5 jobs staying in the same organization for long. Instead projects, gig work and freelancing have become common and high talent wants increasingly to build something where they feel ownership and meaning vs just being employed by a big corporation in a long career.
Composable business and Fusion Ecosystem
In my experience, to do composability well you need smooth mechanisms for collaboration and a wide set of participants who are focused and seriously talented in what they do. This is the core idea of Fusion Ecosystem.
Firstly, we ideate, launch and nurture new focused professional services companies together with talented founding teams. Secondly, we put an effort to make collaboration between these companies smooth. Thirdly, we serve customers the full menu of capabilities of the ecosystem in an easily digestible form.
I joined Fusion Ecosystem team in September because I think this model addresses the evolving digital talent market in the very right manner. Going further we will accelerate our growth and strive to develop Fusion Ecosystem yet more valuable for customers interested in getting the benefits of a composable business!
If you are a director thinking how to best compose digital talent needed or a business leader considering whether you should launch your own digital consulting company, let us grow together and see you in our HARVEST-event on 9th October.
