Orangit - Smooth code care for forward-looking companies
From our blog / Article
Orangit is leading the way in maintaining digital services and wants to keep your applications cool and competitive.
Software maintenance is still an underrated part
There are millions of applications out there, but who is taking care of them all? Maintenance is still an underrated part of the software development life cycle. Orangit was created to plan and execute the most modern maintenance strategy for your digital services and products.
It was after a dark summer weekend when Orangit founder Miikka decided to call his Wunderdog friends to bounce new business ideas. He was in a desperate need of a change and thought the old doggos could offer at least a therapeutic discussion. It turned out that maybe someone should start cooking and boiling more ideas around new ways of doing maintenance services. Within a couple of months Orangit was born and first employees hired.
First Orangit would operate as a trusted partner for the doggos when their development projects turned into maintenance and small scale development mode. At the same time ideas about strategic software life cycle advisory and assessments, increased levels of test and infrastructure automation as well as the most agile service model started cooking. Little by little first clients agreed to be part of this incredible journey acting as early adopters and testers of these new ideas. More orangutans were hired!
Towards European markets
Now after 3,5 years Orangit has a solid foundation of best practices and tools to plan as well as execute the most modern maintenance strategies, but the same above mentioned idea of constant improvement and change is adapted to the future. We learn the best by testing our new ideas and innovations together with our clients!
So far, Orangit has only spread their methods and philosophy in Finland, but at this very moment first international clients are now being onboarded in Norway. Our homebase and Finnish IT consultancy industry is giving us a very unique opportunity to position ourselves also in other European markets. We now know that most companies have an increasing demand to have modern and new ways to handle explicitly their applications’ life cycle even in the most technologically advanced countries.
